Tulsa Golden Hurricane v Houston Cougars

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane was at Robertson Stadium on Saturday November 15 to play the Houston Cougars. Tulsa was 5-0 in Conference-USA and a win over Houston would get them a step closer to the Conference-USA championship. Houston was 4-1 in Conference-USA and needed a win to stay in contention but was also probably looking for some payback to last years 56-7 beating by Tulsa.

The game would match two strong offenses able to put up a lot of points. Houston was off to a fast start with Tulsa trying to keep up. However, Tulsa is a dangerous team that can put a lot of points on the board fast. Even with the halftime score in favor of Houston, 42-17 you still had to be concerned with Tulsa and their quick scoring offense. When it was all finished Houston won 70-30, moved up in the Conference-USA standings to 5-1 and in a first place tie with Tulsa and Rice, and had their payback for last years beating.
